About
The original Dweck Data web site which closed in 2020 has been updated and restored with modernisation and support from WADEDIGITAL. Much of this data has been donated to the Society of Cosmetic Scientists but not everybody works in the cosmetic industry and there were numerous requests from other industries with an interest in botanicals.

Anthony C. Dweck BSc, CChem, CSci, FRSC, FLS, FRSPH, MSCS (Hon).
Pioneer in the use of Natural Materials for Cosmetics and Pharmaceuticals
Dweck has worked for (amongst many) Smith & Nephew, S.C. Johnson, Marks & Spencer, and Peter Black (now LF Beauty). In 1998 he formed Dweck Data to devote more time to the study of botanicals and their chemistry. He is author and compiler of the “Toxicology Assessments Software Programme”. Retired end 2020 to publish his book series.
He wrote the software that formed the basis of the evening exercises for the Society of Cosmetic Science Principle and Practice of Cosmetic Science that is run every two years for new graduates entering the industry. It is still being used today and is designed to simulate a contract manufacturer supplying product and services to a high street retailer – a financial model that considers salaries, overheads, and warehousing to develop, produce, fill, assemble and sell an eye gel to a retailer. The lecturers all play roles as suppliers, buyers and consultants etc. He also gave a lecture on “Naturals” at that week long course, as well as being a co-organiser.
His ambition has been to share the knowledge of his long career through the publication of papers, lectures and workshops. The last ten years have been devoted to the compilation of six text books in order to share this knowledge.
